An after school program, serving 25 children between the ages of 4-12, was sponsored in 1991 at the Transfiguration Parish Day School, Freeport NY, including the Computer Camp. The Holiday/Vacation Camp was initiated in 1991. Many parents need to work during holiday/ vacations, throughout the academic school year. The Holiday/Vacation Camp provides full time child care from 7a-6p, for children ages 5-12. During the summer, children ages 3-15 are served.

In 1992, an after school program was provided at the Tabernacle of One Accord, Hempstead NY, serving 40 children. The early childhood program was established at the Transfiguration Parish Day School building, Freeport NY and operated there for the period of 1996-2004. The Computer Camp (Summer Education Program) was held at the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, Roosevelt NY serving up to 175 children daily during the summer months from 1992-1996. A quality School Age Child Care Program, which includes before/after school, a holiday/vacation, including Computer Camp, was offered at 87 Pine Street, Freeport (Our Holy Redeemer School Building), from 1996-2006 The Computer Camp (and specialty camps) now operating in school building/parks successfully provides technological and analytical skills to children while providing high quality child care with experience serving 150-250 children ages 3-12 daily during the summer.

The early childhood program and the before/after school program including specialty camps operated at 91 North Bayview Avenue, Freeport NY (Congregation Bnai Israel). The program served up to 100 children on school days and up to 250 children on school holidays and vacations from 2006-2009.

Youth Training includes tutoring for students in all subjects and all levels. Tutoring has been provided since 1989. Over Ten Thousand Three Hundred Fifty (10,350) students have received academic assistance, cultural enrichment through our organization. EAGER TO SERVE INC provides workshops on various subjects, from nutrition to entrepreneurial skills to youth inthe community. Social activities include fashion shows, talent shows, pageants, sports, trips, etc. Youth are also employed to plan services and activities for their peers in the community.

The Dance Program was established in 1993 as a collaborated effort between the Hempstead Salvation Army, Hempstead Public Schools and EAGER TO SERVE INC. This program affords youth, age 4- adults, the opportunity to learn Acrobatics, Jazz, Tap, Modern Ballet, Praise Dance, Oral Expression and Hip Hop Dance, each Saturday from 9am-12pm during the academic school year. The program is offered at the Hempstead Salvation Army,
Hempstead NY. The Dance program in Hempstead was released in July 2002 and a new dance program was established July 2002 in Freeport. 

The Hempstead Parent Resource Center, which was established in 1994, offers parenting skills training. Training is provided to parents as first time teachers of their children. Parents were taught how to advocate on behalf of their children about school issues. GED and Adult Computer Training is also offered to parents, as well as the community-at-large.

The Youth-In-Training (formerly Counselor-In-Training) Program, which began in 1996, is an opportunity afforded to youth ages 13-19. The program operates year round during. Young people are selected through parent/child interviews to participate in a learn/work opportunity with the organization.

The early childhood program was renamed Country Club Day Program began in October 2000. Currently, Country Club Day program serves children 2.9 months – 5 years.

In 2006, Sunshine Residence was established to provide teenage mothers and their babies with a loving home while providing the necessary skills and training for self-reliance. As of February, 2010 ETS transition into an emergency shelter program, with experience serving single homeless women, adult families, veteran men, and mothers with children. Through intensive case management housing assistance is provided to help people achieve decent, suitable and affordable housing, reunite with family and friends, connect with community and remain out of homeless for life. As of 2015, housing assistance is currently in an expansion process and is operating as our signature program “From Homelessness To Healing”. . As of December 2025, the program has improve the lives of approximately Two Thousand Eight Hundred Ninety One (2,891) head of households (homeless on Long Island) of which approximately one hundred thirteen (113) have obtained suitable, affordable housing with three (3) known re-entries back into he Nassau County shelter system.

EAGER TO SERVE INC. has a very large volunteer and donor base, including social media resources (nationally and internationally).
